With such a full events calendar happening all over Britain next year, lots of families could find it tough to fit in all the getaways they want to enjoy.So why not make an early start on spending some fun time together with a February half-term holiday?

Its pebbly beach doesn’t have the silky golden sands like others nearby but it has blue flag status, meaning that families can rest assured its waters are clean and safe to swim in. There really is so much to see and do on the Turkish Mediterranean coast – from exploring its mountainous forests and taking a stroll through Roman ruins to laying your towel down on beautiful secluded bays. You could fill your break with exciting day-trips where you can see some magnificent natural and archaeological sights, or you could simply go for a swim in the turquoise waters and enjoy being in the Mediterranean Sea.

There’s no point going for the cheapest hotel if you are going to end up spending a fortune on taxis because your hotel is in the middle of nowhere. Before booking anything you should find out what there is locally and how far away any attractions you intend on visiting are.

A final choice is to choose between booking the individual elements of your break separately (flights, accommodation and transport) or opting for a package break. The first option of booking everything separately allows you to tailor your holiday to your exact needs. There are however some downsides when compared to booking a package holiday. Package breaks require less effort and usually offer you more protection should you have any issues with your flights or accommodation.

There isn’t a right or wrong option however, it all depends on the people travelling and their specific needs.
