Helping to narrow down your honeymoon ideas

Article by Jack Jones

I am pleased to present my honeymoon ideas for the best honeymoon destinations of 2012. These honeymoon spots include Australia, Thailand, South Africa and Barbados. These are some of the world’s most romantic and exotic honeymoon holidays, with each honeymoon destination providing honeymooners with unique experiences. Of course no one honeymoon destination is the perfect destination for everyone and there are numerous factors to take into consideration:

• The amount of time that you have to spend on your honeymoon holiday

• How much money you have to spend on your honeymoon

• The time of year that you wish to get married and want to get away on honeymoon

• What you wish to do on your honeymoon – full of activity and nightlife, or more of a quiet and relaxing holiday

Most newlyweds prefer complete seclusion for the entirety of their honeymoon, other couples prefer more action. There are couples who prefer to travel independently and then there are couples who simply want an all-inclusive package which takes care of every aspect of their honeymoon. So in the honeymoon places I have selected, you’ll find a pleasant mixture of both.

South Africa – is a very popular honeymoon holiday’s location, couples who tend to visit South Africa opt for a mixture of adventure and relaxation by deciding to begin their honeymoon on safari and finish their honeymoon on a secluded beach resort. A popular itinerary is a five day stay in the Kruger National Safari Park staying in a luxury lodge; this is then followed by a seven day stay in a five star hotel in Cape Town which is within touching distance of the beach, with the great Table Mountain in the foreground and the Indian Oceans turquoise waters in front of you.

Barbados – is one of the most beautiful Caribbean islands with idyllic sandy beaches, a warm and friendly culture and incredible hotels and restaurants. You can spend your entire honeymoon discovering the wonders of Barbados, hopping between hotels and golf courses and taking advantage in some of the islands exquisite water sports such as scuba diving and snorkelling. Or you could simply sit back and indulge on the islands eclectic range of beautiful beaches and resorts.

Thailand – its very name creates images of pristine beaches, ornate temples, incredible cuisine and thousands of years of culture. Thailand has a beautiful array of beaches with something to suit every taste, and some incredible cultural hot spots. The north of Thailand offers some of Thailand’s most breath taking scenery with rolling hills, mountain passes and small wooden villages. Whereas Thailand’s northeast boasts some beautiful national parks with incredible waterfalls and trekking opportunities.

Australia – is one of the most desirable honeymoon holidays destinations in the world and it is easy to see why. With so much to see and do, from the Australian outback, to cosmopolitan cities such as Melbourne and Sydney, to the rainforests and pristine beaches, there is so much to see that you could spend a lifetime exploring Australia and you still won’t have explored everywhere.

The above honeymoon holidays for 2012 all provide newlyweds with a diverse range of honeymoons, from adventure and sporting activities to relaxation and indulgence.

Helping you choose the best honeymoon destination for 2012

Article by Jack Jones

Its quite hard to believe that 2012 is already here and under way, where did 2011 go? The New Year is an excellent time of year to start thinking about your travels, especially if you’re newly engaged and are starting to plan your wedding and thinking about your honeymoon, or if you’re still searching for the best honeymoon package and elusive destination, allow me to give you some of my favourite destinations for the coming year.

My best honeymoon package destinations include: Laos – has vast natural attractions, vibrant cities, an incredible culture and mouth-watering cuisine. Laos remains Asia’s hidden gem with its small population and being one of the least developed countries in Asia, it truly is a destination which has been untouched by time and the fast pace of its surrounding neighbouring countries such as Thailand. It’s this relatively unspoiled way of life which forms a large part of the country’s attritions than other destinations in Asia.

Tanzania – in contrast to Laos is one of the largest countries in East Africa, boasting a vast array of natural draws, such as the world famous Serengeti, the mysterious Mount Kilimanjaro and lake Victoria, the Ngorongoro Crater and the great migration which takes places in the Serengeti and is when over two million zebras. Wildebeest and gazelle travel across the seemingly endless plains for fresh pastures for food and water. Most people who visit Tanzania on honeymoon tend to visit the Serengeti National Park and take a romantic hot air balloon safari across the great Serengeti plains. Because of Tanzania’s excellent location you can easily combine it with a beach holiday to Mauritius or the Seychelles.

The Maldives – is a chance for couples to discover an enchanted tropical paradise on the equator. It truly is a place where your dreams of being cast away can come true. On a honeymoon to the Maldives you can be forgiven for indulging in doing absolutely nothing, for such is the norm on a luxury holiday to the Maldives. For total escapism many couples opt for one a luxurious suite, perched on stilts over the luscious, turquoise waters. Indulge in one of the islands world class spas, and rejuvenate your soul.

New Zealand – is on everyone’s bucket list, must see places to visit and every other list imaginable. The country has long lived in the shadows of Australia but with strong marketing campaigns, a strong nucleus of adrenaline junkies and the success of ‘Lord of the rings’ trilogies set in New Zealand, the country has slowly but surely begun to give Australia a real run for its money. People are now discovering what many others have known for years, New Zealand is the diamond in Oceania. From action packed activities, to relaxing beach resorts, to wine tasting tours around the countries best vineyards, there is so much to offer any couple. What some couples are opting to do, is to spend two or three days in Singapore, Hong Kong or Thailand before heading over to New Zealand to break up the journey.

I hope you enjoyed reading about the best honeymoon packages for 2012, these destinations offer todays modern couple so much more than your traditional beach honeymoon.
